FridayLocalAI First-Run Checklist

Use this checklist after installing FridayLocalAI or when validating a new workstation.

Before you start: Confirm that FridayLocalAI is installed and the local service is running.

Steps

1. Open FridayLocalAI and sign in with your authorized account.
2. Open system status and confirm that the application and model service report as available.
3. Review the configured storage location and privacy settings.
4. Choose a text-capable local model appropriate for your hardware.
5. Start a test conversation and request a short response.
6. Refresh the page and confirm that the conversation remains available.

What success looks like

The system reports healthy status, the selected model answers, and the test conversation persists after refresh.

If something fails

• Record the exact user-facing error and the time it occurred.
• Check service and model status before restarting anything.
• Do not include passwords, API keys, or private document contents in diagnostic notes.
