FridayLocalAI documentation
Documentation overview
FridayLocalAI is being designed as more than a chat interface. It is a system composed of local models, structured memory, governed routing, artifact workflows, and future expert-agent capabilities. The documentation area exists to make that system understandable and reproducible.
As the platform matures, this library will grow into a practical reference for installation, configuration, architecture, operations, and troubleshooting.
Installation
Deployment guidance for supported environments, local runtime expectations, storage considerations, and setup prerequisites.
Configuration
Core settings, environment options, operational toggles, and the rules that shape system behavior across the application.
Agents
The conceptual and future operational model for expert agents, role-specific behavior, and routing-aware assistance.
Knowledge System
How FridayLocalAI is intended to work with scoped memory, knowledge retrieval, structured project context, and future knowledge-encoded expert layers.
Troubleshooting
Guidance for diagnosing configuration mistakes, runtime failures, model access issues, performance problems, and general operational friction.
Documentation philosophy
FridayLocalAI is being built with a bias toward traceability, determinism, and long-term maintainability. The documentation will reflect that same philosophy. That means less hand-waving, less marketing fog, and more practical explanation of what the system is doing, why it is doing it, and how those decisions affect real deployments.
In plain English: fewer mystery boxes, more working parts with labels on them.
